My Name Is Clickable Now, Thanks Google Docs
For this task, we were asked to write a film review collaboratively and share it with another group to receive feedback. Our review was about the film Nowhere, directed by Albert Pintó. In the review, we included different sections such as film background, plot summary, analysis of key elements, and overall evaluation and recommendation. My responsibility in the group was writing the Overall Evaluation and Recommendation part. In this section, I evaluated the film in general and explained whether I would recommend it to others or not.
After completing our review, we shared our Google Docs page with another group and gave them “commenter” access. They read our review and left comments about our work. In return, we also reviewed their film review and gave feedback about whether we would watch the film they reviewed. We also explained our reasons and suggested ways to make their review more interesting and effective.
I worked with my group members, Defne Abay, Dilara Demirkaynak. During the process, each member contributed to the writing and revision process. Peer feedback helped us notice unclear parts and improve our final version.
The collaborative writing process was useful but sometimes challenging because we had to organize everyone’s ideas and comments with limited words. However, I think it made our review stronger. In my opinion, Google Docs is a very helpful tool for collaborative writing because it allows people to comment, edit, and revise the same document easily. Overall, this task showed me that writing becomes more effective when it includes teamwork, feedback, and revision. If you would like to read our film review click here
